snobol4ezio - SNOBOL4 easy to use file I/O

DESCRIPTION¶

This library provides I/O functions that avoid the need to specify a "unit number" (an artifact of Macro SNOBOL4 having been originally written to use native FORTRAN runtime code for I/O functions).

name is a SNOBOL4 NAME (.VARIABLE) or STRING (note: if a NAME, it may be forced to upper case depending on the setting of case folding). filename is a STRING specifying a filename. options is a STRING specifying I/O options (see snobol4io(1)).
