OPIS¶

mingetty is a minimal getty for use on virtual consoles. Unlike agetty(8), mingetty is not suitable for serial lines. For this purpose the usage of mgetty(8) is recommend.

OPCJE¶

--noclear

Nie czyść ekranu przed poproszeniem o nazwę użytkownika (normalnie ekran jest czyszczony).

--noreset

By default the terminal settings will be initialized to some sane default values. With this option the terminal settings will not be changed.

--nonewline

Nie drukuje znaku nowej linii przed wypisaniem zawartości pliku /etc/issue.

--noissue

Nie wypisuje zawartości pliku /etc/issue.

--nohangup

Nie wywołuje funkcji vhangup(), aby uniemożliwić innym aplikacjom zapisywanie do tego tty.

--no-hostname

By default the hostname will be printed. With this option enabled, no hostname at all will be shown.

--long-hostname

Domyślnie nazwa hosta jest drukowana tylko do pierwszej kropki. Po włączeniu tej opcji, pokazywany jest pełny tekst gethostname(2).

--login login_binary

Use the login_binary to log in instead of the default /bin/login.

--logopts "login_options"

Options that are passed to the login program. \\u is replaced by the login name. Defaults to "-- \\u", which is suitable for /bin/login. Please read the SECURITY NOTICE below if you want to use this.

--nice 10

Zmienia priorytet za pomocą wywołania funkcji nice().

--delay 5

Po uruchomieniu mingetty wstrzymuje działanie na podaną liczbę sekund.

--chdir /home

Zmienia katalog na podany przed uruchomieniem programu logowania.

--chroot /chroot

Wywołuje chroot() z podaną nazwą katalogu.

--autologin username

Loguje automatycznie podanego użytkownika bez pytania o nazwę użytkownika i hasło. Patrz także opis opcji -f programu /bin/login.

--loginpause

Czeka na wciśnięcie dowolnego klawisza przed wyświetleniem linii zgłoszenia. Może być połączone z --autologin, aby zaoszczędzić pamięć przez nieuruchamianie automatycznie powłok.

--old

Do not reset the terminal line to standard settings and do not hangup the /dev/vcs and /dev/vcsa virtual console memory devices which may remain from a former session. This hangup requires access to the /proc file system because the linux kernel does not have a revoke() system call. Please read the SECURITY NOTICE below if you want to use this.

SECURITY NOTICE¶

If you use the --login and --logopts options, be aware that a malicious user may try to enter lognames with embedded options, which then get passed to the used login program. mingetty does check for a leading - and makes sure the logname gets passed as one parameter (so embedded spaces will not create yet another parameter), but depending on how the login binary parses the command line that might not be sufficient. Check that the used login program can not be abused this way.

Some programs use -- to indicate that the rest of the commandline should not be interpreted as options. Use this feature if available by passing -- before the username gets passed by \\u.

If you use the --old be aware that remaining opened or memory mapped /dev/vcs<#> or /dev/vcsa<#> virtual console memory devices provide all infomation of the corresponding terminal line /dev/tty<#> to a possible attacker.

SEKWENCJE SPECJALNE¶

mingetty rozpoznaje następujące sekwencje specjalne, które można osadzić w pliku /etc/issue:

\d

wstawia bieżący dzień (czas lokalny),

\l

wstawia nazwę terminala, na którym działa mingetty,

\m

wstawia architekturę maszyny (uname -m),

\n

wstawia sieciową nazwę węzła maszyny (uname -n),

\o

wstawia nazwę domeny,

\r

wstawia wydanie systemu operacyjnego (uname -r),

\t

wstawia czas bieżący (lokalny),

\s

wstawia nazwę systemu operacyjnego,

\u

liczba użytkowników, którzy są obecnie zalogowani. \U wstawia "n users", podczas gdy \u wstawia tylko "n".

\v

wstawia wersję systemu operacyjnego (uname -v).

PRZYKŁAD¶

Tekst "Linux eos i386 #1 Tue Mar 19 21:54:09 MET 1996" można stworzyć, wstawiając do /etc/issue "\s \n \m \v".
